Blue Bern Foundation helps Build the Bridge between Blue and Better

With a vision to build the bridge between blue and better, the Blue Bern Foundation supports local mental health organisations, raising awareness for men's mental health. Blue Bern aims to raise funds to bridge the gap between hospital and at-home support for people who need a helping hand.

What: Blue Bern Foundation raises funds for local men's mental health organisations and initiatives.

Why: Bernie Seebeck had a vision of building communities. In 2021, Bernie sadly lost his mental health battle. The Seebeck family wants to continue Bernie's love for his community by giving back to men's mental health.

Blue Bern is committed to improving outcomes for men's mental health, particularly in advocating to bridge the gap between hospital and home for people who need a helping hand.

Who: Blue Bern supports mental health organisations by funding initiatives that encourage community connection and aim to improve the outcomes in the men's mental health space.

How: Blue Bern is a crucial part of the Seebeck Group, created in honour of Bernie Seebeck.

The Seebeck Group allocates a portion of funds from land sales and other initiatives to support men's mental health organisations.

• Since 2021, the Blue Bern Foundation has donated $200,000 to local mental health organisations and initiatives.
• Blue Bern supports local non-for-profit groups that support men's mental health including:
  • Mindful Aus - who empower people living in Australia's high-risk areas to 'put wellness back into their own hands.' They provide individuals with the skills, strategies, and techniques that help them overcome times of distress and lead happier and more fulfilling lives.
  • Men's Table - which was established in 2011 to support men in building meaningful relationships and foster a safe environment for men to share, learn, and connect, overcoming the stigma that "men don't talk."
  • Rural Aid - who support farmers and rural communities before, during, and after natural disasters and provides innovative programs that enhance farmers' resilience and sustainability.
